Out of the Blue
Short Film / Claymation / 2018
Out of the Blue is a short, comical claymation film that tells the story of two father–son duos who are out fishing at a pond. The film derives its humour from the tension that builds between the two pairs, as each tries to prove they are better than the other.
This film was one of the first animated shorts I ever worked on, created through the group effort of six animators, each individually designing and animating a character. The father who struggles with fishing was created and animated by me, while the set was built collaboratively.
The film was also exhibited at the Museum of Design, Milan, as part of the winning projects in the A' Design Awards and Competition (Movie, Video and Animation Category) in 2019.
