Folktales of India : The Intelligent Wife

An abridged tale about a miserly farmer lost in greed that would’ve eventually lead to his own destruction if not for the wits of his intelligent wife. This 2D digitally animated tale originates from the divine lands of Tamil Nadu. The visuals are inspired and developed from the classical Thanjavur painting style. These paintings are made up of rich and vibrant colors with glittering gold overlaid on delicate but extensive gesso work. They are also embedded with glass beads or precious gem stones.
